Brett Sharp, General Manager of the Mel Wheeler Inc. cluster of radio stations (WSLC, WSLQ, WXLK, WVBE/WVBB, WFIR, WLNI, WPLY/WPLI, and WXLK HD-2 Rock Channel) in Roanoke-Lynchburg, VA, has signed David Lee Michaels to be PD of WSLC-FM 94.9 Star Country.
Michaels has programmed and/or worked in Milwaukee, Richmond, Daytona, Columbus, and Roanoke. He will continue to do the midday shift on Star Country.
Sharp said: “David Lee has been a part of the Star Country team for over three years. He knows the station, the market, and great radio. We can’t wait for him to take the reins and continue to grow WSLC.”
