Conversations on Health Care is celebrating the 10th anniversary of its first broadcast, and 500th episode. The nationally syndicated show features cohosts Mark Masselli, President and CEO, and Margaret Flinter, Sr. VP of Community Health Center, Inc. The program was launched to highlight the dramatic transformation of American health care, with the passage of the Affordable Care Act. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi was the show’s first guest in September of 2009.

“We wanted to illuminate the efforts of those seeking to expand health coverage to tens of millions of uninsured Americans,” Masselli said. House Majority Whip, James Clyburn (D-SC), the third-ranking Democrat in Congress, also played a vital role in the nation’s health reform efforts. “Having Congressman Clyburn join us for the 500th episode is a fitting tribute to the hard work and ongoing struggle of policymakers seeking to achieve health equity in America,” Masselli said. “He has long fought for the rights of all Americans, calling the ACA the Civil Rights Act of the 21st Century.”

The program is also available as a podcast.
