Cox Media Group has announced the executive leadership of the new CMG once the sale of the stations closes with Apollo. Bill Hendrich will stay on as EVP of Radio. Hendrich has been running Cox’s radio division since taking over for Kim Guthrie back in 2015. CMG’s radio stations are being purchased by Apollo Global Management.
Once the deal closes, Guthrie will become CEO of the Cox Media Group for the private equity fund that purchased the Cox Radio stations back in June. The new company Guthrie will be leading will include TV, radio, CoxReps, and GAMUT.
