Joe Paulo’s KSBJ Educational Foundation is purchasing KSHN-FM in Liberty, Texas from Bill Buchanan’s Trinity River Valley Broadcasting. The format on KSHN is “Music Mixed With Things That Matter.”
Paulo and has multiple broadcast interests in Texas. Buchanan and has no other broadcast interests.
Scott Knoblauch of Spectrum Media and Bill Whitley of Media Services Group’s Dallas office represented the buyer in the deal.
This buyer is not EMF.
KSBJ is a local, Houston-based broadcaster, branching out into the region.
Houston additionally has the KHCB religious broadcaster, which also has several stations scattered throughout Texas…and Louisiana, too, I think.
For the KSHN owner, in this case, I think he was just ready to retire, anyway. He has been serving the Liberty and nearby community for decades…
