J.J. Hemingway, who called himself “Your Spokane Radio Pal” died Monday, at the age of 65, after falling ill last week. The KEEH-FM Facebook page details how Hemmingway wasn’t feeling well at the end of last week. Concerned friends visited Hemmingway over the weekend and finally convinced him to go to the hospital. He died Monday.
I did not know him; I have not listened to Shine 104.9, and thus have not heard J.J. nor any of the hosts of KEEH-FM; but I am sorry about his sudden and shocking passing, and for the loss suffered by his family and loved ones. I am sure that myriad listeners of Shine 104.9 (including via translator for 94.9) will miss him dearly.
