In the lawsuit Bubba the Love Sponge claims CMG was part of the scheme to get him fired over the Nielsen ratings controversy. Bubba made contact with someone on a PPM panel and after years of claiming he would fight Nielsen he settled with them at the very last minute. In the new lawsuit Bubba claims Cox played a role in leaking Hulk Hogan’s sex tape with the Bubba’s then-wife.
The former radio superstar is facing some tough times. According to the Tampa Bay Times Bubba still owes and has paid hundreds of thousands of dollars to the IRS and is facing foreclosure on the race track he purchased several years ago.
In responding to negative tweets on the newspaper’s website Bubba said he will never quit. “I will walk into whatever I have left for a studio and do a show that is better than anything that’s currently available in most places.”
