He goes by Scotty K and he’s going to be competing in Season 11 of NBC’s sports entertainment-competition show American Ninja Warrior. Scotty — who is morning host on Dallas/Fort Worth’s Hot 93.3, midday personality on Kansas City’s 95.7 the Vibe, and weekend talent on Salt Lake City’s Power 94.1 — submitted an audition tape for the show in December 2018, and after four months of waiting, he got the call. He will travel to Oklahoma City to compete in the American Ninja Warrior City Qualifiers on April 12-13.
It isn’t the first time the adventurous jock has entered the world of reality TV competitions. He also appeared on the first season of Fox’s So You Think You Can Dance.
Scotty K said: “I just hope I can be an example of what hard work can accomplish for my son, and show that there is no obstacle too tough in life if you don’t let fear get in the way. The difference between good and great will always be effort, and I’m all in.”
