Bubba Appearances Haunting Carlson

On Sunday night Fox News Host Tucker Carlson responded to off-color remarks he made while on the Bubba-The-Love-Sponge show a decade ago. Carlson was a regular on Bubba’s show back then. Media Matters dug up the comments.

According to Media Matters Carlson made off-color remarks aimed at Arianna Huffington, Britney Spears and Alexis Stewart, Martha Stewart’s daughter. In a statement aimed directly at Carlson posted Sunday night via Twitter, Angelo Carusone, president of the organization, said the group released the radio conversations “because the things you say on your Fox News show echo the misogyny displayed in those clips.”

Variety reported how Carlson defended himself of Sunday night. “Media Matters caught me saying something naughty on a radio show more than a decade ago. Rather than express the usual ritual contrition, how about this: I’m on television every weeknight live for an hour. If you want to know what I think, you can watch. Anyone who disagrees with my views is welcome to come on and explain why.”

  1. Maybe Tucker can go back to those halcyon days of yore, when he was still sporting the bow tie.
Although a bit of a stretch, the foxy French word for “false” is…”Faux”.
Yes, it is pronounced “Foe”, but either way, it seems to work. 🙂
