WWL New Orleans afternoon host “Scoot” is recovering from injuries he suffered after a motorcycle hit him while he was walking across Canal Street. This picture was posted to Scoot’s Facebook page and the WWL website.

WWL management says, “Scoot’s ok, but he’s recovering from some tough injuries to his body. Scoot was struck, knocked unconscious, and left injured by a speeding motorcyclist on Canal Street.”

New Orleans Police have issued a news release asking for public assistance in finding the hit and run driver of the motorcycle. “The NOPD is seeking to locate and identify two subjects in the investigation of a hit-and-run vehicle crash that occurred on February 15, 2019 at the intersection of Canal and Bourbon Streets,” the release says. “At about 1:42 a.m. at the intersection of Canal and Bourbon Streets, an unknown subject operating a blue motorcycle at a high rate of speed northbound on Canal Street reportedly struck a victim who attempted to cross the street on foot.”
