KDKA’s Griffin Cancer Free

Newsradio KDKA in Pittsburgh reports that Marty Griffin says he’s cancer free after having a PET-CT. Griffin had HPV-related cancer near his throat and went through weeks of chemotherapy, radiation and immunotherapy.

Griffin completed the treatments three months ago and Monday’s scan that showed the cancer had not returned was a big relief for Marty and his family.

“I won the lottery today, its Christmas morning, it’s just beautiful,” said Griffin on KDKA Radio.

He still has three months of immunotherapy to increase his survivability rates.

Griffin hosts a show with Wendy Bell on KDKA from 2 9.m. to 6 p.m.
