Chasta Michaelis (known on-air to listeners as “Chasta”), has been named midday host on 107.7 The Bone/KSAN-FM in San Francisco, after serving in the role on an iterim basis. She can be heard weekdays 10 a.m.-3 p.m. She will also continue in her role on 107.7 The Bone’s Lamont & Tonelli Morning Show and producing her daily Facebook Live chats from The Bone studios following each morning show.
Dominic Zaccagnini (Zakk), KSAN-FM Program Director, said: “Chasta’s skill set created a position as unique as her brand. The Bone is the heritage Rock station for the modern era and Chasta is a rare top talent with the creativity, commitment, and versatility to grow an audience while also assuming more responsibilities and roles. This is a great example of our company’s commitment to the highest and best use of its talent.”
Chasta said: “The Bone was on a short list of legendary stations I always wanted to be a part of. Belonging to this radio family with these radio giants is humbling to say the least. I have poured my heart into my work and the listeners have totally embraced me and have truly become my Bonehead family. For me, the spirit of the radio is the deep human connection you can make as a jock with an audience through the love of music. I’m grateful I was bit by the on-air bug 17 years ago and to be rockin’ The Bone today.”
