
Forbes is reporting that this year sales could beat 2017, depending on how December finishes. Despite several challenging headwinds in 2018, sales could end up by 60,000 for one of radio’s big advertisers, to 17.3 million.
2017 marked the end of seven straight years of increases for the auto industry. Back in 2009 auto sales were at their lowest level since World War II, according to the Forbes report.
The challenges automotive dealers will face in 2019 include higher sticker prices, rising interest rates, new international tariffs and declining passenger car sales. Predictions have 2019 down about 1.5%
