iHeartMedia’s San Diego cluster participated in the First Annual iHeart Rady Children’s Give A Thon in partnership with Rady Children’s Hospital of San Diego, December 12 and 13. KGB-FM, KHTS-FM, KIOZ-FM, KLSD-AM, KMYI-FM, KOGO-AM, and KSSX-FM broadcast live from the hospital each day from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. During the broadcasts, station personalities interviewed former patients, physicians, and parents and families of patients currently being treated at the hospital.
A total of $263,837 in donations was raised.
“The generosity of our listeners will help ensure that every child gets the best care possible, right here in our community,” said Rob Scorpio, Senior Vice President of Programming iHeartRadio San Diego/Riverside.
