Mike Clark spent 22 years on the air at WRIF in Detroit. He had been battling health issues the past few years and died in his sleep Monday night at the age of 63. Up until five years ago, Clark and Drew Lane hosted Drew and Mike on the legendary rock station. They were together for 20 years.

Heidi Raphael, Vice President of Corporate Communications for Beasley Media Group, issued the following statement: “We are all deeply saddened by the sudden loss of Mike Clark. He was a beloved member of the WRIF family who will be forever missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with Trish and his family during this difficult time.“

A post on the station website said: “We thank him for his creativity, sense of humor, and ability to help put a smile on our faces on our morning commute. He will remain fondly in our memories. RIP.”
