Programming veteran Sean Demery, who’s been with Alpha Media since March of 2017, has died. In late 2017, Sean collapsed with a brain-stem stroke. He died from complications from that stroke. Demery had also worked at WNNX in Atlanta, KITS in San Francisco, KMTT in Seattle, KXRK & KLRZ in Salt Lake City, WYMS in Milwaukee, and KGGI in Riverside and San Bernardino.

Alpha Media CEO Bob Proffitt shared the following quote with Radio Ink: “Sean was such a pro, fighter, and determined man. He always did it his way. KINK will always have part of Sean’s DNA pulsing through it, and I’ll never forget the first day I walked into his office with his feet up on his desk and talking on the phone. He came into my office later and apologized, and we laughed. God Bless Sean Demery.”

Scott Mahalick Executive VP of Content for Alpha Media said, “Sean was always full of kindness, inspiration, positivity — strong-minded with a sense of caring — and a happy human being. The Alpha family and world have lost one heck of a warm-hearted affectionate son of gun.”

The staff of Radio Ink extend their deepest condolences to Sean’s family and friends.
