Global Ad Spending Looking Strong

Dentsu Aegis Network has upgraded its ad-spending forecast for 2018 to 3.9% — up from 3.6% in its January projection. Total ad spend around the world is expected to come in at $615 Billion. Dentsu predicts radio will be up 2%. In January the radio projection was 1.3%. The 2019 radio projection is plus 1.2%. In the U.S., spending is expected to grow 3.4% to $217.3 billion

Mid-term political spending is expected to reach $2.8 billion in 2018. Digital is expected to overtake TV for the first time — reaching 38.4% of global share, with TV at 35.5%.
