Half-Century Celebration For Sandy Beach

Buffalo’s WBEN (WBEN-AM) has a special anniversary to celebrate: longtime talk-show host Sandy Beach and his 50-year radio career. To do so, WBEN and Sandy will welcome special guests and members of the local media in studio during his scheduled three-hour talk show, The Sandy Beach Show. A reception will be held on-site at 12 noon, following the conclusion of the show, where Sandy will be available for interviews with confirmed media.

Beach began his broadcast career in 1968 as a disc jockey at WKBW in Buffalo and has since held various roles, including music director, program director, talk-show host, and Buffalo Bills radio game producer. He is a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, the New York State Broadcasters Hall of Fame, and the Buffalo Broadcasters Hall of Fame.

In-studio guests will include Joey Reynolds, nationally syndicated radio personality; Danny Neaverth, former radio personality at WKBW (currently WWKB-AM) and member of New York State Broadcasters Hall of Fame; and, Stan Roberts, former WKBW disc jockey and member of Buffalo Broadcasters Hall of Fame.

The event will take place Friday, June 15, 9 a.m. to noon at WBEN, 500 Corporate Parkway, Suite 200 in Buffalo.
