How many radio lives does Josh Innes have? The last time we wrote about Innes was during the Superbowl when he got himself kicked off Radio Row for arguing with another radio host, something he’s become known for. He’s at it again.
Now, iHeartMedia has suspended Innes for getting into a spat with an employee of the station he works at, Houston’s SportsTalk 790. That’s not as bad as what happened to the other guy, Adam Clanton, who was fired.
The former WIP Philadelphia host (Innes was fired from WIP in 2016) has been suspended for five days after his morning show about Clanton where he impersonated Clanton and berated him for nearly 10 minutes. The two hosts have been going back and forth at each other on the air and on Twitter about their bad takes on The Houston Rockets and Houston Texans. Who would think that would lead to a firing and a suspension, however, that’s exactly what The Houston Chronicle reported how it went down. Clanton was the co-host of the afternoon show. Apparently the station management had enough of the childish bickering.
Neither Innes or Director of AM Programming Bryan Erickson returned our e-mails for comment.
