Dr. James Kauffman, recently arrested for plotting the death of his wife April Kauffman (pictured), was found dead in his jail cell Friday. Hudson County authorities say he died of an apparent suicide. Police arrested Kauffman on murder and racketeering. They said he arranged for his wife to be murdered in 2012 so she wouldn’t expose a drug ring he was involved in with a motorcycle gang.
