Baisden Returns To Atlanta

Superadio Networks makes the announcement that The Michael Baisden Show will return to the Atlanta market this week after being dropped by CMG’s WALR-FM late last year. Core Communicators Broadcasting is picking up the show for WTBS-FM, which recently reset its format from Old School to a more contemporary adult urban music mix.

GM Steve Hegwood is happy to be bringing Baisden back. “I’m extremely excited to merge the Michael Baisden brand with the new Mix 87.7. Michael is contemporary, which fits our new direction; he’s a social media king, he’s controversial when he needs to be, and most of all he’s entertaining. I’ve watched Michael pull great ratings in Atlanta and our goal is to have him do the same for Mix 87.7.”

Baisden said it feels great to be back on the radio in Atlanta. “Thanks to our new partners in The ATL, Mix 87.7, for welcoming us to the family. Atlanta is my number one market for events, social media followers, and book sales. I’m excited about returning to the city that I have called home on so many occasions. There’s something about Atlanta that just keeps calling me back! I look forward to hitting the streets in Atlanta to encourage mentoring and business networking. But most of all I’m excited about getting back on the radio and talking about important issues like the midterm elections, relationship issues, and of course, competing against the women in Battle Of The Sexes every Friday. So get ready Atlanta, the best show on radio is back. It’s time to shut the city down.”

The show is also set to launch on KCEP-FM “Power 88” Las Vegas and KMVX-FM “Mix 101.9” Monroe, LA. The Michael Baisden show currently airs on over 40 stations.
