The 12th annual Midwest Communications Radiothon for Kids raised more than $300,000 for Chilrdren’s Miracle Network and Sanford Children’s Hospital. The 24-hour radiothon on 92.5 KTWB (Country), Q95-7 (Classic Hits), 101.9 KELO-FM (AC), and 103.7 KRRO (Rock) featured a first-of-its-kind challenge from an anonymous donor, who challenged the community of Sioux Falls to rally and surpass the previous year’s amount by $25,000. Reaching that goal would bring a $50,000 donation. Listeners, businesses, and other local supporters responded to exceed that goal. In the end, the event raised $301,535.

Operations Manager Tom Gjerdrum said, “It’s incredible, it’s the best. We have the best listeners in the world to help us raise so much money for this incredible cause. We cannot thank the Sioux Falls community enough.”

As the area’s only Children’s Miracle Network hospital, Sanford Children’s Hospital, Sioux Falls, offers the region’s most comprehensive health care services for children.
