iHeart Returns LITE To Chicago

1

iHeartMedia Chicago is bringing back heritage station brand 93.9 LITE FM, when the station ends Christmas music after the holidays. The company is dumping the MYFM moniker, which it switched to in 2013. The format will stay the same (The Best Variety of the 80s, 90s and Now). Kristina Kage, Robin Rock, and Mick Lee will continue to host the station’s programming.

“Based on our extensive research, the iconic brand of 93.9 Lite FM resonates tremendously with Chicagoans,” said Matt Scarano, President of iHeartMedia Markets Group’s Chicago Region. “Hence, we have decided to give Chicago back one of its favorite radio brands. We are proud to turn the Lite back on in Chicago and re-brand 93.9 with its familiar moniker. After Christmas music concludes, 93.9 LITE FM will continue to play the best variety from the 80s, 90s and now.”
