Portsmouth, NH isn’t only one of America’s most beautiful small cities, it’s also right up there for generosity. iHeartMedia Portsmouth’s Greg & The Morning Buzz raised over $162,000 during its 27h annual “Lend A Helping Can” fundraiser. The funds raised from the two-day radiothon and online auction will benefit 11 New Hampshire organizations that combat local hunger. During the radiothon broadcast, Greg & The Morning Buzz welcomed host of Dancing With the Stars Tom Bergeron and comedian Larry the Cable Guy to show their support for Lend a Helping Can.
“The word ‘thankful’ can’t even begin to express how I feel about our audience,” said Greg Kretschmar, lead host of Greg & The Morning Buzz. Every year we ask them to help, and every year they answer the call. Knowing that together, the money we raised will feed hundreds of thousands of meals to folks in need, is very humbling. We’re eternally grateful to our incredible listeners.”
Last year, the event raised over $150,000, and over the past 26 years Lend A Helping Can has donated over $1 million to feed thousands of New Hampshire residents.
