The Executive Committee of the New York State Broadcasters Association has extended the contract of David Donovan for three years. Donovan has been President and Executive Director of NYSBA since 2011.
Galaxy CEO Ed Levine is the Chairman of the NYSBA. “We are delighted that David will remain at the helm of the New York State Broadcasters Association. He has been a very effective advocate for broadcasters, both in Albany and Washington DC. Broadcasting is confronting numerous challenges and he has the skills necessary to get the job done.”
Donovan said, “It has been an honor to represent radio and television stations throughout New York. I am grateful for the trust they have placed in me. Broadcasters face many challenges in today’s hyper-competitive marketplace. NYSBA’s mission is to make sure they have the tools and the regulatory environment that will allow them to thrive and prosper so they may serve their communities.
Prior to joining NYSBA, Donovan held various positions representing broadcasters in Washington DC. He also served as the media counsel to the late FCC Commissioner James H. Quello.
