Rochester Translator Sells For $650K

The interest in purchasing FM translators continue to be high and they are selling for big money. Broker Dick Kozako tells Radio Ink that W288CS (105.5mhz) in Rochester is being purchased for $650,000 by Blue Light Communications in New York City. The sellers are Russell Kimble and Patricia Anderson who formerly owned WYLF-AM in Penn Yan New York and WFLK in Geneva, New York. The new FM signal at 105.5 will broadcast with 250 watts from an antenna located on a building in downtown Rochester. It will cover over 600,000 people in the 60dbu.
