In yet another FCC filing the NAB submitted comments urging the Commission to reduce or eliminate some paperwork, recordkeeping and filing burdens during the Commission’s proceeding on modernizing its media regulations. In its 51 page filing the NAB states that broadcasters are not seeking any diminution in their obligations to serve their communities of license. Rather, broadcasters support an updated regulatory regime enhancing local stations’ ability to serve communities more effectively in today’s competitive media marketplace.
