Two House Reps and two Senators have joined as cosponsors of a resolution against “any new performance fee, tax, royalty, or other charge” on radio that the NAB is pushing on Capitol Hill. The Local Radio Freedom Act now has 129 cosponsors in the House and 12 in the Senate.
The latest to sign on in the House are Reps. Michael Capuano (MA-7) and Tim Walberg (MI-7). Sens. Deb Fischer (R-NE) and Tom Udall (D-NM) are the new cospsonsors of the Senate resolution.
