Wash Cleans Up For Children’s National Health System

97.1 WASH-FM (Washington DC) announced Friday that its 2nd annual WASH For Kids Radiothon raised $484,004 for the Children’s National Health System, which provides pediatric care in the Washington, DC, metropolitan area. (Up from $326,492 raised last year.) The radiothon was held December 15-16 from 5 a.m. to 7 p.m. and was hosted by on-air personalities Loo and Chilli from 97.1 WASH-FM’s The Loo and Chilling Morning Show, and on-air personalities Jenni Chase and Sabrina Conte, who interviewed patients, doctors and parents from Children’s National Hospital.

“The WASH For Kids Radiothon is the most powerful event we do all year” said Kenny King, Program Director for 97.1 WASH-FM. “We love sharing the moving stories of the patients and their families, and witnessing the kindness and generosity of our listeners.”
