In tandem with Treehouse, a nonprofit organization addressing the essential education and enrichment needs of kids in foster care, the station topped the half-million-dollar mark during the 28th Annual Holiday Magic Fundraiser on December 14, 2016. The program raises money to provide each child with one significant holiday gift along with support for programs and services throughout the year. For the fifth consecutive year, Holiday Magic topped $500K.

“I love the fact that we always support the first responders in our community, and now today everybody gets to be a first responder for kids,” said Don O’Neill, host of KIRO Radio’s Ron & Don show. “A huge thank you to our listeners for spreading some holiday magic.”

“We are so grateful for the KIRO Radio team and community for your continued dedication to kids in foster care,” said Treehouse CEO Janis Avery. “Thanks to your generosity, thousands of kids across Washington State will feel the love and support of our community and enjoy a magical holiday.”
