This time the station helping the children’s research hospital was Charlotte’s New Country broadcaster 96.9 The Kat, which raised just over $202K through its Kat Country Cares For Kids Radiothon, which returned December 1-2 after a six-year hiatus. Throughout the two-day event, on-air personalities Paul Schadt, Meg Butterly, Casey Carter, and Big Kat Kris Stevens played musical montages of families telling their St. Jude story, interviewed families of St. Jude patients, and encouraged listeners to become Partners in Hope, donors who commit to making monthly contributions to St. Jude.

“It was tremendous to fire up our energy behind St. Jude again this year and support their lifesaving work,” said Schadt. “We partnered with St. Jude for several fundraising events this year, including Kat Country Jam concerts, the St. Jude Run/Walk, and the St. Jude Dream Home® Giveaway. We are excited that we broke our fundraising record this year.”
