Raleigh, NC’s 99.9 The Fan is bringing back former East Carolina head football coach Steve Logan, who recently returned from a year in the NFL as Quarterbacks Coach for the San Francisco 49’ers. He’ll assume the role of NFL and College Football Insider for the 2016-17 season. Logan worked in a similar capacity with Capitol Broadcasting from 2013-2015. He will make one-hour appearances on Fridays throughout the football season, starting September 2 on 99.9 The Fan and Buzz Sports Radio. He’ll also host his own radio show on Saturdays, starting September 3, 10 a.m. to noon, on The Fan.

Dennis Glasgow, Capitol Broadcasting sports radio operations manager and program director says, “We’re thrilled to have Coach Logan back on our team. He’s built up a lot of equity in the Triangle and there’s no one better that will tell it like it is in regard to the NFL and College Football. There’s only a handful of people in our business that have lived the game of football, and are able to articulate it with the passion and candid manner like Coach Logan.”

  1. I love the Logan Zone and listen to it on Saturday and tape it and watch it on Sunday morning however I do take issue in comparing college football to going to Vietnam. My uncle who received 3 Purple Hearts did three tours in Vietnam on my mother’s side of the family as well as my two cousins one served at Khe Sanh with the Marines and his brother in the Air Force. I my father served in World War II and I myself served in the Gulf War. Respectfully Mike from Durham
