Black Forum Proposed For Presidential Candidates

In combination, the National Coalition on Black Civic Participation (NCBCP) and the National Association of Black Owned Broadcasters (NABOB) have joined forces are inviting the Democratic and Republican presumptive presidential nominees to take part in a “Conversation with Black America.” American Urban Radio Network (AURN) is the lead media partner for the presidential forum that is tentatively scheduled for August 18, 2016 at the August Wilson Center for African American Culture in downtown Pittsburgh, PA.

“As we approach this critical presidential election we believe it is vitally important to hear from the presidential nominees about issues important to Black America,” said Melanie Campbell, President and CEO of NCBCP. “Issues that have a disproportionate impact on Black communities such as race relations, the killing of black men, women and children at the hands of police, gun violence, jobs, and educational challenges are just some of the issues we would like for the candidates to address.”
