Salem Host Suspended For Facebook Post

0

An update to the story we told you about early on Wednesday. Jim Turner, who hosts a two-hour afternoon talk show on Salem’s WBZW in Orlando, has been suspended for a Facebook post that implied that the media should not cover the Pulse nightclub shooting victims sympathetically because of their sexual orientation.

Turner posted these comments on his personal Facebook page which eventually made its way out into the public and back to WBZE General Manager Bill Files who suspended Turner. “Watch now as the news stations hang around at another homosexual hangout as if we’re supposed to feel sorry for sexual deviancy.”

Files tells Radio Ink those comments do not reflect the station or the company (Salem) in any way.

The Apopka Voice reports that Turner posted much worse comments to his Facebook page. We’re not going to post them here. You can hit The Apopka Voice link to read them if you are interested.
