At the New York Associated Press Association Awards banquet this past weekend, WXXI Radio won 1st Place in the Spot News category for coverage of shootings that took place in Rochester back in 2015.
Multiple news stories, as well as WXXI’s daily talk show Connections with Evan Dawson, covered the mass shooting that took three lives and injured four others.
