New York baseball fans are about to get even more spoiled. Balls and Strikes with Matthews and Rubin will provide blanket coverage of the Yankees and Mets every Sunday morning, 7-9 a.m., on 98.7 ESPN. Along with insight and analysis, there’ll be a load of big-name guests.
Co-hosts Wallace Matthews and Adam Rubin bring years of experience to the new show. Matthews has covered New York sports since 1983 in a variety of roles: reporter, columnist, TV commentator and radio host. He covers the Yankees for ESPNNewYork.com, and has worked for Newsday, the New York Post, the New York Sun, and ESPN New York 98.7 FM. Meanwhile, Rubin has covered the Mets since 2003. He joined ESPN NewYork after spending 10 years at the New York Daily News.
