A company called Podtrac is now releasing a monthly ranking of podcasts based on unique monthly audience in the United States and unique downloads globally. NPR’s 32 podcasts top the April ranker with a unique audience over 7.2 million, and 61.7 million unique downloads. WNYC, with its 52 shows, comes in third on the list with an audience of 5.5 million, and over 27 million downloads. And WBUR’s 10 shows come in 10th with an audience of 962,000, and 4.5 million unique downloads. Here’s a look at the top 10 podcasts for April:
