One of radio’s best friends on Capital Hill cruised through his primary run this week. Oregon’s Greg Walden won his party’s nomination for the 2nd District Congressional seat, a post he’s held since 1998. Walden beat appliance technician Paul Romer, hauling in 81 percent of the vote. Walden faces political newcomer, Democrat Jim Crary, in November. In addition to being a former radio broadcaster, Walden is the chairman of the Energy and Commerce Committee’s Subcommittee on Communications and Technology.
