CBS Promotes King to Ops Manager in Vegas

CBS RADIO Las Vegas has announced the promotion of JB King to Operations Manager for its six-station cluster, which includes 98.5 KLUC, Mix 94.1, X107.5, Q100, NewsTalk 840 AM KXNT, and CBS Sports Radio 1140 AM. King will also continue as Program Director for both 98.5 KLUC and Q100.

“After a national search for the next amazing Operations Manager, we found that with JB King,” said Senior Vice President and Market Manager, Tony Perlongo. “With years of experience from learning from the best, JB is more than ready to take on the responsibility of overseeing our six great radio stations, as well as our six HD2 stations.”

King has been the anchor of the 98.5 KLUC on-air staff since he joined in April of 1998. A native of Oakland, CA and a graduate of U.C. Davis, he began his radio career in Sacramento, CA, with stops in San Francisco and Phoenix, before arriving in Las Vegas. While achieving #1 ratings in afternoon drive, King has also won multiple awards including an EMA Award for “Best Show in Las Vegas,” as well as “Music Director of the Year” from numerous publications.
