Tony Tilford is the new Director of Rock Programming for iHeartMedia’s Kentucky-Indiana region. He’ll begin his new duties May 1, which will include overseeing WQMF-FM and WTFX-FM in Louisville. Tilford most recently served as Regional SVP of Programming for iHeartMedia’s Southwest Ohio-Indiana region.
Tilford began his career in 1985, working overnights on the weekend at WKQQ-FM in Lexington. After working his way up to Program Director at WKQQ-FM, Tilford went on to serve as Program Director at WMMS-FM in Cleveland and WTUE-FM in Dayton.
“With Tony’s expertise and personal success in the rock format, he is the optimal person for the job,” said Earl Jones, iHeartMedia’s Kentucky-Indiana Region President. “He got his start in Kentucky and we’re happy to welcome him back to the area.”
