Greater Media will celebrate 60 years in the radio business, Thursday. The company was founded in 1956 by Yale classmates Peter Bordes and Joseph Rosenmiller. From the ownership of a single radio station in Southbridge, Massachusetts, the company now owns 21 stations in Boston, Charlotte, Detroit, Philadelphia, and New Jersey.
About the milestone, CEO Peter Smyth said, “I am very proud of the achievements of our company over the past 60 years. Greater Media is the culmination of Peter Bordes’ life’s work. I am grateful to our incredible employees for their continued dedication in making Greater Media greater on a daily basis over the past six decades.”
