Norm Winer was PD for CBS Radio’s WXRT-FM since 1979. He was recently given the title of Director of WXRT Music Initiatives & Special Programming. On Wednesday he announced, after 36 years at the same station, he’s leaving. The Chicagoland Radio and Media Blog reports Winer will not be replaced. His new title was created especially for him and his PD duties had been split between Music Director Kelly Ransford and Operations Manager Mitch Rosen.
