Townsquare CEO Steven Price said 2015 was a very good year for the company. “Half our revenue comes from sources other than radio ad sales and Townsquare Media reached profitability for the first time.” And what Price is referring to when he says other sources is Townsquare’s “Other Media and Entertainment” category, which was up 44% in Q4 and 33% for the year. That includes digital and live events such as obstacle course races and craft beer festivals. In Q4 Townsquare took in over $11 million, and in 2015 over $40 million, from Other Media and Entertainment. None of these increases include the recent acquisition of NAME, which is the big live events company Townsquare purchased last year.
