9-year-old Sawyer is battling terminal cancer (Burkitt’s Lymphoma). Sawyer is a huge fan of the morning show on Entercom’s 107.9 The End with hosts Gavin, Katie, and Jason. On Thursday, the station changed its name and dedicated the day to the young boy as part of “Sawyer Day.”

Sawyer is too sick now to visit the radio station. So, 107.9 decided to give him the entire station for the day. “One of the things on his bucket list was to come hang out with us,” Katie tells ABC10. “If we could make him smile just for a little bit, it feels so so good.”

Morning show co-host Jason told ABC10 “Behind the scenes, it was a great example of people coming together to make one kid happy.” They played Sawyer’s favorite songs and artists like Flow Rider sent personal messages.
