SBS’ 97.9FM La Raza has launched “El Vacilon de la Mañana,” a Regional Mexican music-intensive morning show. The show is hosted by Marlene Quinto, Felix Castillo “DJ Boro”, “El Compadre Pop,” and Ramon Castillo Moran “El Monchis.” SBS says the program will also be in San Francisco, San Jose and Chicago soon.
SBS Executive VP of Programming Jesus Salas (who will also interview Dan Mason at Radio Ink’s Hispanic Radio Conference) said, “As our audiences’ preferences continue to evolve, we need to find new and creative ways to entertain and engage with them. “El Vacilon de la Mañana” is the answer — this incredibly dynamic team will really resonate with regional Mexican music lovers who also enjoy real people they can relate to.”
