Mac Daniels has been named the new Program Director for heritage country stations 99.5 The Wolf/KPLX-FM and New Country 96.3/KSCS-FM in Dallas. Daniels moves to Dallas from KSJO/NASH FM 92.3 in San Jose, where he was PD. Daniels has 30 years of programming under his belt, including WMZQ, Washington, D.C., WYCD in Detroit, KSKS in Fresno, and KASE and KVET in Austin. Early in his career, Daniels was APD at KPLX Dallas.

Dan Bennett, Vice President/Market Manager for Cumulus Media Dallas said: “The KSCS/KPLX job called for someone with an impressive major market track record in Country and Mac’s accomplishments and experience are just what we need. His experience programming two competitive Country stations in the same market owned by the same company fits perfectly with our situation in Dallas.”

Daniels said, “I am very excited for this opportunity to shepherd two of the nation’s leading country music brands to greater success. The team assembled in DFW is poised for success in every platform. I am humbled that Dan Bennett, Mike McVay, and Charlie Cook have placed their confidence in me for this role at two of the stations that are key to the success of Cumulus. I couldn’t be happier to be returning to Texas and to the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Those who know me are well aware of my undying passion for this market and these specific radio stations. There are no words great enough to express the feeling of excitement I have at this moment.”
