The normality of seeing GEICO or The Home Depot at the top of the Media Monitors chart was upended last week when Walgreens ran over 60,000 ads on radio stations across the country. That total crushed second place GEICO, which aired 43,436 spots. TurboTax jumped into the third position, up from seventh, with 30,944 commercials. Right behind TurboTax was Jackson Hewitt (up from 22nd) with 27,807 spots, as tax filing season heats up. McDonald’s was 5th, followed by JCPenney, The Home Depot, H&R Block, RAM trucks, and Chrysler.
