KNX Wins Five Golden Mike Awards

KNX 1070 NEWSRADIO, Los Angeles, won five Golden Mikes at the 66th annual awards dinner held Saturday evening in Universal City. The awards are presented annually for excellence in radio, TV, and Internet broadcast journalism by the Radio & Television News Association of Southern California (RTNA), representing newsrooms in Los Angeles, San Diego, and other markets from Bakersfield to the Mexican border.

KNX was recognized with the following awards for programming that aired in 2015:

Mike Landa, who recently retired from KNX 1070 NEWSRADIO, was honored with a “Lifetime Achievement Award.”  Landa spent 46 years at KNX, including three decades as the station’s Orange County Bureau Chief.
