Salem and Gallagher agree to extend their relationship through 2018. Gallagher said, “After 15 years with Salem, I’m still amazed at how fortunate I am to have a radio home at this amazing company. I’m ecstatic and humbled to be continuing for at least another three years with this world-class organization.”

Mike Gallagher started his radio career in Greenville, South Carolina on WFBC, then on the legendary WGY in Albany where he came to the attention of WABC, New York programmer Phil Boyce, who brought him to New York as the morning guy in 1996. He left WABC in 2000 to become a syndicated national host. He’s now back working with Boyce at the Salem Radio Network.

“Mike is one of the most talented, entertaining, and informative hosts in the country,” said Boyce. “What a pleasure it has been to be reunited with him at Salem, and be able to have a small part in the next generation of his talk show host career.” Boyce supervises AM 970 The Answer in New York, where he brought in Gallagher in 2013, after his time on WABC and then WOR in the same market. Mike recently added AM 560 The Answer in Chicago to his list of stations.
