At 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, NWA’s Straight Outa Compton hit the airwaves as Radio One Indianapolis’ first song to launch the company’s new throwback hip-hop station, BOOM 102.9 FM. Earlier this year, Cumulus flipped former Top 40 WRWM-FM/i94 to 93.9 The Beat, a Classic Hip Hop station. Radio One has now launched the BOOM format in six markets. In addition to Indianapolis BOOM can now be heard in Houston, Pliadelphia, Dallas, Atlanta and Columbus
