Dixon was known as "The Truckers Friend" on XM Channel 10 "America" from the sat-caster's first days on the air. In 2007, when Sirius and XM merged, Dan was one of many cut and the channel eliminated. Prior to his years on satellite radio, Dixon worked at WSDS Ypsilanti, MI, WNRS Ann Arbor, MI, WKCQ Saginaw, CKLW-FM Windsor, Ont., WDEE and WCXI Detroit, plus WTOD-AM and WKKO (K-100) Toledo.

Mac Daniels has been named the new Program Director for heritage country stations 99.5 The Wolf/KPLX-FM and New Country 96.3/KSCS-FM in Dallas. Daniels moves to Dallas from KSJO/NASH FM 92.3 in San Jose, where he was PD.

Alternative Rock station, WEDG-FM/103.3 The Edge has named Tiffany Bentley (“Bentley”) as Music Director and Afternoon Drive On-Air Personality (3:00-7:00 p.m.) Bentley comes to The Edge from Alternative Rock station WLKK-FM in Buffalo, where she was Morning Host.

ESPN Radio morning hosts Mike Greenberg and Mike Golic debut an enhanced studio set this Monday and First Take moderator Molly Qerim is joining the show for the last two hours.

Alpha Media, Peoria announced that Stephanie Blue will join veteran Morning Mix host Randy Rundle on Mix 106.9 (WSWT), effective February 15. Blue has been in the radio industry for 11 years.

On Monday, Feb. 8, ESPN Radio will debut Jorge & Izzy, hosted by Jorge Sedano and Israel Gutierrez. The show will air weekdays from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. ET and will cover the day’s top stories from across the sports world.

Edward Nolan has been promoted to Senior Vice President/ Chief Financial Officer at Greater Media. He joined the company in 1989 as head of the corporate Internal Audit Department.

Alissa Pollack will run the program, as Executive Vice President, which iHeart hopes to use to leverage its pool of listener data and music and consumer insights in front of advertisers and music labels.

Cumulus has hired John Shomby as Director of Programming for the NASH Network. It's a newly created position where Shomby will oversee all NASH programming for the network and syndication operations.

In March, longtime Atlanta radio personality and stand-up comedian Jeff Dauler (pictured) will launch a new morning show on WSTR-FM. The station is conducting a search for a co-host. Current afternoon host Mike Marino will be a part of the new show. STAR 94’s current morning show, Drex, Cassiday and Tingle, will move to afternoons.
